Girl Out of Water

  1. Oooh - I've seen this one around NetGalley I think? And I have to admit that I like the cover and the fact that it seems to deal with a disability, but it's also YA Contemp which isn't really my scene. I do like the tag line though - that's relevant and easily relatable.

  2. This is not a cover that would make me pick up the book although I like the title font. The tagline catches my interest more than the cover but I think I'd pass on this one.

  5. I love the font - not sure about her being in a wheat (?) field though. I guess she is supposed to be out of water but I don't know...

  6. Nice cover. Jealous of her tan though. If she's not normally out of water why is she so tan? LOL Of course in my imagination she is a mermaid newly stranded on land. I may be a bit crazy today. Better go look this one up:)

  8. I like the symmetry of this cover. It doesn't feel too crowded or too minimalistic. Everything has its place.

  10. The title does not really fit the cover, still...pretty

  11. I think it fits the story. The young woman on the cover looks "beachy" and she is forced to leave the beach to help family out in the Nebraska.

  12. For some reason this wasn't on my radar until recently, but it sounds awesome! Perfect summer reading, and great cover.

  13. I feel like there should be water somewhere on the cover just because of the title? LOL! In any case, I do love the country style and the colour of the sky in contrast to the wheat field!

  14. I am really interested in reading this book, too. There was quite a bit of tom f*ckery surrounding it on Goodreads.
