This week's topic is the Top Ten Books I'm Looking Forward To in the First Half of 2017.
An unnamed tie- in book by Beth Revis.
I didn't know about A Darkness Absolute so thank you for mentioning it!! I am excited to see Rogue One although I can't see it until after the 21st unfortunately!
ReplyDeleteIf we based it on covers alone, many of those would make my list too. Of course, they all do sound good too. I'm really excited to read Burning Page. And I Found You Looks really good too. All of them do. So many great sounding books are coming out this next year!
ReplyDeleteIs The Winds of Winter really a thing that is going to happen!? I am kind of shocked hahaha. I also need to read the first Starflight book, and the first Invisible Library book. And The Immortals, because that series is serious cover goals. I am so behind! Great list!
ReplyDeleteI think... the Winds of Winter is wishful thinking on my part lol. I just added it to see what people would say (and maybe if I say it's coming out in 2017 it'll happen? Yeah silly me). Dude you need to read The Immortals, I want to know what you think!
DeleteOoh interesting list! :-) I hope that you enjoy these books and that they live up to your expectations.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chrissi, you too!
DeleteHa ha ha.... I had to chuckle. I'm not sure you'll see all of these in 2017 but we can hope! GRRM plays by no rules though.
ReplyDeleteLovely covers as usual Greg and I really like the one for Witchwood Crown. Lovely. :)
You caught that huh?
DeleteThe Starfall cover looks gorgeous! And I am hoping to read more Kelley Armstrong in 2017 :)
ReplyDeleteSame here. And yes Starfall is awesome!
DeleteI stopped looking forward to "The Winds of Winter" a long time ago as some kind of self-preservation to not get disappointed over and over again – I just hope GRRM finishes it before he dies xD
ReplyDeleteHowever I am already excited for "The Burning Page" as well but I still need to read the second book first. If that's as good as "The Invisible Library" than the third one is going to be a must-buy, especially since the covers are so damn pretty :D
I hear you, I fear I won't be seeing Winds in 2017 but I had to try. :)
DeleteWinter of the Gods has a great cover and I'm in two minds about trying the series. I love Greek Gods but not sure if it would be my kind of read. Further investigation required I think. I'll need to wait the best part of a year before I get my hands on the latest Mercy Thompson when it comes out in paperback!
ReplyDeleteI liked the first one but I had to get a few chapters in. It's not the usual UF I think. I don't know if I'll like Mercy Thompson but I hope so??
DeleteAh! More of The Invisible Library!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Top Ten!
I really want to read Starflight (and Starfall) in 2017. The Invisible Library is also on my hope to read list! I'm going to check out Winter of the Gods and The Witchwood Crown now too. Great list!
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten
I thought Winter of the Gods (or the first one rather) was quite good. And The Invisible Library was too!
DeleteI didn't know Lisa Jewell has a new book!
ReplyDeleteI've only read one of hers so I'm anxious to try another!
DeleteI need to start that Kelley Armstrong series. I grabbed the first one from Book Outlet and LOVE all of her other stuff. I should also probably catch up on the Mercy Thompson books - I think I'm two behind. Great list as always!
ReplyDeleteI liked City of the Lost. And the Mercy books- I need to start 'em.
DeleteStarfall looks really good. I just looked it up on Goodreads. So does the Tad Williams book. Definitely a great list and thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis is the 3rd time I've seen Starfall today, I must be living under a rock or something to have missed it! I've added the Olympus Bound series on my TBR, thanks for the rec!
ReplyDeleteI've seen Starfall all over as well. I can't wait to read both of them.
DeleteI am really looking forward to I Found You too. Great list!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband has been waiting for The Winds of Winter for so long that I think he has almost given up. lol! I hope it really does release this year
ReplyDeleteI do too. And I'm with him, I've about given up too.
DeleteKeep seeing Starfall on these lists. I haven't really paid much attention to what's coming out. Winter of the Gods and The Witchwood Crown are two I will need to look into.
ReplyDeleteWinter of the Gods I think will be good, if The Immortals was any indication. I didn't see a ton of reviews of that one in the blogosphere, but I thought it was pretty good.
DeleteIs The WInds of Winter really happening? I'm so desperate for the next book. I can't even watch the show because I just want the next book so bad LOL! Great list. :D
ReplyDeleteI don't know but I highly doubt we'll get it in 2017... that was sorta wishful thinking on my part. I couldn't resist. :) And I hear you- I HATE watching the show without reading first!
DeleteI Found You sounds fantastic! It is going on my 2017 to read list.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to it as well.
DeleteThe good and bad thing about visiting blogs is that I always end up adding books to my list! hahahahaha I love your list!
ReplyDeleteIs that the new book of Game of Thrones?
My TTT.
Yes- this week was terrible for me, I think I added at least three. And yes Winds of Winter is the next book, although purely wishful thinking on my part lol. Far as I know there's no release date yet, but I'm pretending. :)
DeleteThey look fantastic, I've read I've Found You because came out earlier this year here, good story it was my first read of her, now have to catch up on her others.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it's good!
DeleteI'm so intrigued by The Witchwood Crown. Thank you for bringing it to my attention!
ReplyDeleteI just discovered that recently as well, and can't wait to read it!
DeleteMany intriguing books on this list. My TBR continues to grow! :D
ReplyDeleteSee my TTT at: https://kellyfbarr.com/2016/12/13/top-ten-tuesday-40/
Mine does too, if I was smart I'd avoid the TTT as I alwayse end up discovering new books!
DeleteYes to Patricia Briggs and Kelley Armstrong!! I see a couple others on your list that are new to me that I'm going to have to check out. I can't wait for Winds of Winter. So much waiting.... he just likes to mess with us is all it is lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my Top Ten Tuesday Greg!
I know... is Winds ever coming? I never thought we'd have to wait THIS long...
DeleteA Darkness Absolute is one of my top picks for 2017! I'm also super stoked for Silence Fallen since the whole Mercy universe has taken a really interesting turn.
ReplyDeleteI hear so much about the Mercy books and even though I don't read PNR I want to try those. And darkness Absolute- definitely, after City of the Lost I'm ready for more!
DeleteGreat list! I really need to read Kelley Armstrong and Patricia Briggs and I desperately need to read The Invisible Library! Lisa Jewell's books look interesting too and they all seem so different.
ReplyDeleteSame here. I need to try Briggs in 2017. This was my first Armstrong and based on it I would recommend her. Lisa Jewell I've only read the one, but I liked it- and it made me think.
DeleteWinter of the Gods looks so interesting! How have I not heard of this?? I'll definitely be checking it out!
ReplyDeleteHere are my Top Ten!
It's a sequel to The Immortals, which I think you might like. Check it out!
DeleteI need to start most of these series! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog earlier, Greg!
Thank you Lauren, and I know- I have so many to start.
DeleteI can't wait for Winter of the Gods as well! I want to read quite a few on your list, I think it's going to be a great year:-)
ReplyDeleteI do too. And Winter of the Gods in near the top of my list as far as anticipation...
DeleteWinter of the Gods as well as the new Kelley Armstrong novel! DO WANT!
ReplyDelete~Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum
Same! Need both right now... :)
DeleteI absolutely love all the covers in the list! The Witchwood Crown looks so gorgeous! Great list :)I'm sorry I haven't been able to do the TTT due to power outages and more caused by a cyclone here. Hopefully next week :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Cyclone? Yikes hope all is well, must be the season down there? And I can't wait for Witchwood. :)
DeleteYou'd better start reading Starflight asap :-P I still have to post my review, but it was great so I'm looking forward to Starfall too! Plus I love the covers.
ReplyDeleteI know! I need to get to it soon. Looking forward to your review, but glad to hear it was good. Good characters?
DeleteHeh, I didn't put The Burning Page on my list because I'm sneakily hoping to buy it this week and read it before the end of the year as a Christmas present to myself :) I have seen Jordanna Max Brodsky on a few lists now and I don't know her work at all - clearly I should do some investigating...
ReplyDeleteI've been known to , um, buy myself presents too- especially books, so don't feel bad. :) The Immortals was pretty good, so if you get a chance to check it out maybe it will work for you.
DeleteI'm really looking forward Winter of the Gods. Also, I would *love* for Winds of Winter to release (but I'm not holding my breath, distracting myself with all the other books until I hear something official)
ReplyDeleteI know almost nothing about the book - I'll goodreads it in a moment- but omg that cover for Starfall! I just love it!
ReplyDeleteThe Winds Of Winter? *chuckles*
ReplyDeleteI really need to get caught up on the Mercy Thompson series! I also want to try Kelley Armstrong's mysteries. They sound so good. I hadn't heard of I Found You before, but that one's going on my Wishlist too!
ReplyDeleteI haven't started any of these series yet but thanks for reminding me that I need to LOL! I think most if not all of these series are on my tbr shelf - I need to get busy XD
