This week's topic is Top Ten Books (or book items) I'd like to see under the tree. Rather than just books I'm including stuff I'd like, whether books or something else. There's a lot of bookish stuff out there, and I have a tendency to find stuff I *cough* want when shopping but of course I wouldn't buy for me at Christmas time. Would I??
So here's the stuff I'd love to see under the tree. Which I will probably just end up buying myself sometime next year lol.
Some wall art from Rock Paper Books.
And BOOKS from Rock Paper Books- they do classics with updated, modernistic cover art.
And since I'm a fan of Rock Paper Books as a bonus I'm including a selection of their covers.
Funkos always make perfect gifts :) Unfortunately I don't own a single funko pop :( When I'm not broke, I'm gonna buy a ton..I LOVE the covers of Rock paper Scissor books! Great list!
ReplyDeleteI want a bunch of Funkos too. :) I have a whole list. I wish I knew people in RL who liked 'em, they would make gifts!!
DeleteGreat collection of swag and books, all of them look awesome :) Here's my TTT
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteGreat list! Hope you'll find some of these under your tree :) I love the Mystique funko pop and the Peter Pan art!
ReplyDeleteI do too! I love that Mystique Funko too... :)
DeleteYes to the history of Westeros! I can see that in my future very soon! (as soon as New Year is over!!!) Love the cover for Sleepy Hollow!
ReplyDeleteI do too! And I NEED that book... :)
DeleteThose funko pop figures seem to be around everywhere! I hope that you get some of these under your tree! :-)
ReplyDeleteI could use some Funko's as gifts this time... :)
DeleteThose really are some awesome redesigned book covers. I especially like the Sherlock one. Not sure why. Maybe the colors and interesting angle?
ReplyDeleteAren't they cool? The Sherlock one is one of my favorites as well, I think because of the moon and the angle or slant of the image. It just has that vibe. :)
DeleteI really love those book covers! They're so interesting. That Peter Pan bookmark is pretty fantastic too. Great list, Greg! I hope you have a happy holiday.
ReplyDeleteI do too, they're some of my favorites now. So glad I found them!
DeleteThose covers are awesome! And I have the The World of Ice and Fire (which Santa brought me some Christmas past) that I still need to read, but just having it on my shelf helps keep me calm. Hope Santa is kind (and while he's picking up the Peter Pan bookmarks and Green Dragon glasses, I'll throw in my order too). ;)
ReplyDeleteOoh I want the World of Ice and Fire and I'm not sure why I haven't bought it yet?? I must rectify that. I want that bookmark too (did you know they're like a ten pack?) and the glasses too.
DeleteOMG I need that cover of Sleepy Hollow. I love the premise of that tale much better than I did the actual story, but I do love all the retellings and spinoffs. I'm also really liking those glasses. Hey, I'm all for buying yourself some gifts anyway!
ReplyDeleteIs tha great or what? And same here- the actual story did little for me, I think I remember the animated one the most! And the glasses are awesome!
DeleteI've been seeing that Game of Thrones special edition on my bookstore jaunts but it's so expensive! I hope you'll get everything you asked for this Christmas!
ReplyDeleteIt is expensive, which might be why I haven't gotten it yet. Hopefully soon!
Deleteoh I wish I could read high fantasy! I LOVE game of Thrones and hobbits! I would LOVE the Star wars shot too! Great list hope Santa gets it for you [if you are a believer :) ]
ReplyDeleteI'll believe in Santa lol. Seriously though I'm picky about fantasy but I do like Game of Thrones. Do you generally not read fantasy then?
DeleteI enjoy visiting your TTT each week just to see your lists!! The updated book covers are amazing. I will definitely have to check their art out. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThanks, appreciate the visit! I do love those updated book covers. Merry Christmas to you as well!
DeleteI hope you get some of these under the tree. Have a great Christmas!
ReplyDeleteTTT
Sandy @ Somewhere Only We Know
Thanks Sandy, and merry Christmas!!
DeleteVery interesting list , Greg! I love funkos! I collect them !
ReplyDeleteMy TTT.
I only have one Funko but that will change soon ha ha. Have a great week!
DeleteI had never heard of that card game before but it is SO up my alley! It's a shame I don't have more friends who play card games (or that there aren't more 2 player games/my boyfriend actually played them. But I could always FORCE him to if I had the right game >:D
ReplyDeleteI want that game so bad but yeah I'm not sure who I would play it with either! I don't know too many people anymore who play card games much. I still want it though! Yeah make the boyfriend play. :P
DeleteYour list is everything! Kudos to book number one that is in my Kindle baby! Although he could release the long awaited for GOT novel that would be a true Christmas miracle LOL
ReplyDeleteI just started collecting the FK's OMG I think my husband is going to ban me from the house if I buy anymore! Especially when he heard my plan is to get all of the Harry Potter ones and all of the walking dead ones and the Star Wars ones and the Harry Potter Hogwarts train FK lol
My Top Ten Tuesday
New follower to your cool Blog 🎄
Thanks! Yes the long awaited Winds of Winter would be nice. But The World of Ice and Fire looks good too. Glad you got it.
DeleteThere are so many Funkos! I think the trick is to get HIM into them, then it can be like a joint purchase ha ha.
Great list! I love the bookish stuff I tend to buy that stuff less for myself as well! I love the Peter Pan bookmark that is really nice!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that cool? I need that bookmark- and I think if you buy it you get like a bunch all with the different artwork they do, for like $10. If I remember right...
DeleteWhat a fun list, Greg! I love the Peter Pan bookmark especially.
ReplyDeleteI do too, and they sell it as a set with several of the covers I think.
DeleteOh those covers are so nice! The World of Ice and Fire is one I am interested in as well but it is so expensive. Weeps.
ReplyDeleteIt is expensive, although I keep seeing it like half off at Barnes & Noble. Not sure why I didn't just get it...
DeleteFun list!! I hope you receive all the items on your list this year. :-)
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT post for this week: http://captivatedreader.blogspot.com/2016/12/top-ten-tuesday-ten-books-i-wouldnt.html
I need those Rock Paper Scissor books! Those covers are gorgeous! I love the Peter Pan bookmark too and the Funko Pops are so cool! I keep almost buying one but have yet to actually do it. I love them though!
ReplyDeleteI gave my brother that Game of Thrones book! I have to admit I was tempted to keep it to myself! Thanks for visiting my TTT
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Star Wars Cantina glass! I would like the GoT book too but would rather have the NEW book George is supposed to be writing! My friends and family know to just buy me anything Harry Potter related and I will be happy. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI really like that Peter Pan bookmark. It's so lovely. Happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteOhMyGoodness! That wall art is amazing as are Rock Paper Books book covers. I want (way too) many of them. :) Thanks for sharing, Greg - and for visiting Finding Wonderland.
ReplyDeleteWorld of Ice and Fire was a book I got as a Christmas present to myself one year! I used a coupon on it too and was able to get it for $16 or so and it was so worth it. The book is gorgeous!
ReplyDelete~Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum
I kind of just want to say DITTO to all of these! But I'd also love to add GRRM's 6th ASOIAF book, since I'm wishing! 😂
ReplyDeleteI love so many of these things and now I have to remember that Christmas is a time to spend money on OTHER people! 😂
Great list Greg and I hope that you get some of these things soon!
Oh wow, how did I not know they have Funko dolls for the Star Wars Rebels characters? You just made my day with that :)
ReplyDeleteOhh, I like what you chose, especially those funko pops! :D
ReplyDeleteCool choices - I really like that Three Musketeers art! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the Rock Paper Book covers. Also thought the Hobbit Tales game looked like fun
ReplyDeleteI do adore those Rock Paper Scissors books, and that cantina glass is stellar!
ReplyDeleteI love those shot glasses!
ReplyDeleteI love those cover you shared at the end! I really like that style of cover art.
ReplyDeleteI obviously need to be paying attention to Rock Paper books because I LOVE the art - so beautiful and perfect for each book. I take it you can get wall art etc for all/most of these because that is a necessary thing. Lots of good stuff and I hope it all finds a way into your home! Homeless cool stuff is so sad...
ReplyDeleteI really like all the Marvel bobbleheads that are so popular now. I've got to find one that suits me nicely. I like that shot glass from Tatooine. That would be a great gift for my brother.
ReplyDeleteI literally want all the LotR/Star Wars stuff you put on here^^ whether it's books or memorabilia ♥ And those Rock Paper books have fab covers!
