This one looks intriguing, and I like a good lycanthrope story. Bonus points: it's set in Michigan and the setting is a small town stripped of resources by a company called Dutch Chem. I couldn't help but wonder if this is a veiled reference to Dow Chemical in mid- Michigan.
HI Greg! You always get the ones with the nice covers! I love the look of this one!
ReplyDeleteMy pic for the week is Timekeeper by Tara Sim
Thanks! I saw this one and I was like oh yeah. :)
DeleteOoh, this one sounds like a good one. Need to go and look it up now! I love the cover too.
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice cover, isn't it? I love that white background, and the eyes set if off... :)
DeleteSounds like it to me!
ReplyDeleteI thought so too. :)
DeleteLOVE the sound of this! it reminds me of the Wolves of Mercy Falls series by Maggie Stiefvater! and i have to say, that cover is so pretty! I hope you enjoy this one Greg!

I've heard a lot about those, and if this is even half as good as those are that would be a good thing! And it is an amazing cover, I agree.
DeleteThis is a nice cover with the black and white and tealish blue! I'm just not a big fan of shifters though.
ReplyDeleteI like the eyes a lot, you don't see too many werewolf covers like that with human looking eyes. It's different.
DeleteI doin't do were-anything, but that cover is eye catching.
ReplyDeleteI don't read many were stories although I'd like to, but I'm into PNR's.
DeleteI love werewolf books! I just recently came upon this one myself and it does sound great. :D
ReplyDeleteI wish I could find some good werewolf stories that aren't PNR's, maybe some good urban fantasy or fantasy/ horror.
DeleteI love a good werewolf story as well. It is hard to find a well done werewolf book that's a horror though. If you're looking for a good werewolf Urban Fantasy story I would suggest checking out Bitten by Kelley Armstrong. She gets a little gory in it sometimes, which I feel is pretty rare for urban fantasies featuring werewolves.
ReplyDeleteI love a good werewolf story as well so this sounds like it would be a book for me too!
