The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer
I had a good week, for the most part. It got a bit cool early in the week, but then it rebounded midweek. Still not super hot though- which is OK. I've been splitting my time between reading and Netflix, depending on my mood. :)
I'm finishing up The 100- that show is a trip. They are taking Clark in an interesting direction- did she just agree with Lexa to let everyone get blown up? Seriously?
This week I read Matched by Ally Condie. I'm getting into fall mode, and have a few books that I'm looking forward to- which is good as my "must read" pile has dried up, a bit. I also had my third A Dance with Dragons re- read chapter- this week it was Jon. And I was nominated for a blogger award- you can check it out here to see my answers, and who I nominated.
I've been dying to go to bookstores and I hold your gorgeous bookstore photos to blame! We are very excited about the new Star Wars movie here! I don't know if my husband or my 5 year old is more excited but it's kind of all Star Wars all the time here.
ReplyDeleteGlad I could help! :) Love used bookstores... I'm pretty excited about the new Star Wars movie too, although I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.
DeleteWe lucked out and did not get that heat wave that was predicted. I thought it was too cool and hope for a bit of a warm up. I liked the Ally Condie series. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteMe too, and today was yucky. Didn't do much due to the weather.
DeleteThose Star Wars pictures are incredible, it is a frequent conversation in my house "How the hell do they build those things?"!! Great pictures, it looks like a beautiful part of the world you live in!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
I liked those too!
DeleteSome AMAZING Star Wars pics there (esp the second & third ones!).
ReplyDeleteWinter's actually ending here in Oz and we've had a lot of warn days in my part of the country... I wish it'd hung around longer!
I think so too- and enjoy your weather! It's going to get nice there and not so nice here. :)
DeleteLooks like you had the same quiet week I did! I love me some DeviantArt, too! I can actually find Photoshop/Illustrator brushes on there to upload into my software free to use. I just can't let my son get near it (clear the cache!!)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week - it's getting hot up in here this week!!!
I love that kind of art- and while I knew about deviantArt, I had not explored it much. I had fun finding these pics!
DeleteGorgeous pictures as always! Love the wine glasses, lol. I had a quiet week with coolish weather. Sadly, the 90s are coming back next week.:(
ReplyDeleteHave a good week.:)
I like those too. :)
DeleteCongrats on winning Eight Hundred Grapes and the mug...I'm envious! I loved the book...would also love a mug like that. (I collect mugs).
ReplyDeleteEnjoy...and I also love those photos...the bookstores, especially. The burgers sound tempting, too...I love feta on almost anything.
Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.
I want those burgers! Fun recipes... and quick too!
DeleteSome gorgeous photos. Congrats on the win... I have heard such great things about it. Matched has a very cute cover.
ReplyDeleteThank you... and have a nice weekend!
DeleteLove the wine glasses and bookstore. Our weather has been fall like, and I am seeing a change in the books I request/accept and buy..I am in full Fall mode. Have a lovely week Greg.
ReplyDeleteI love fan art, it's so, so amazing. Love those Star Wars pics.Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI sort of binge watched The 100 a while back, an it really started peeving me off. I heard they keep pushing the 3rd season back. Great pictures, and I love the Star Wars art. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThose glasses are fun! And I'm loving the bookstore photos, it makes me want to go book shopping! Enjoy trying your burger recipe, they both sound yum! Have a great week Greg.
ReplyDeleteAs always, I love your photos! The shelves in the bookstores are so well done, and I love the glasses for truth serum and liquid courage.
ReplyDeleteI just signed up for netflix last week, and I'm going to watch Sons of Anarchy, but maybe I should try The 100, too?
Have a fantastic week ahead, Greg, and happy reading.

Looks like you had a great week. I read Matched last year and really enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good week, Greg. I love the DevianArt and the photos you put up this week. Have a good week as we go into Fall!
ReplyDeleteThe lamb burger sounds good, but mostly it is the tapenade that appeals to me.
ReplyDeleteI wanted Need but I didn't get approved for it..sniffles..oh well..I got way to many to review anyway...lol. :) Hope you enjoy it!

Week in Review
It was a bit cool here too, but this weekend it warmed up quite a bit. Though tonight we are suppose to get some thunder. Great pics as always. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat hotot. I went to my favorite book store yesterday and could not find a place to park! I had to pass on it and it's haunting me. LOL Your weather sounds so similar to mine this week. Wonder if we're neighbors!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Sunday Post - http://fuonlyknew.com/2015/08/30/whats-new-on-my-bookshelf-127-and-the-sunday-post/
Beautiful pictures...especially the bookstore. You know, since I have my Kindle I rarely go to the bookstore anymore. That's kind of sad.
ReplyDeleteIt was cooler here too but I hear the humidity is on the way.
Hope you have a great week!
Nice bookstore pictures! I also liked the Star Wars ones. It seems like every week now there are more tidbits about the movie. I liked the new teaser but hope they give us a new trailer soon now that September is almost here.
ReplyDeleteI have been reading and watching Netflix too. Haven't seen the 100 yet though. The weather is supposed to get hot here later this week I've heard. We'll see.
I love your pics! And thanks for the ComicBookGirl19 video! I'm subscribed now and I totally want that comic! I wonder if I can suggest the purchase to my library. They've bought the last 11 graphic novels I suggested. Hmmm...
ReplyDeleteLove that Star Wars art! My younger brother is a huge fan, and is getting really excited for the newest movie, I will have to show him those art pieces. The water looks so nice in your pictures! It makes me sad summer is at an end; I spent quite a few days at the beach this summer, and I'm already looking forward to going back next year.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Thanks for stopping by the The Local Muse
I am so looking forward to your review of Need! I have heard just enough about the book to be very interested in it. I love the Star Wars art and all the pictures of the books stores. I am really into Star Wars.
ReplyDeleteI love your pictures for this week. I don't drink a lot of alcohol but I still want those wine glasses. That is great Star Wars art work. We plan to do a Star Wars marathon before the new movie since my kids didn't watch them. Have a great week Greg!
ReplyDeleteLove the book store pics, I loved visiting old book stores on our travels. Our beautiful weather is just starting, I think we are going to be in for a hot summer. Hope you enjoy Eight Hundred Summers, I liked it, especially the wine making scenes. Keen to see what you think of Need ... Happy reading :)
ReplyDeleteWow your week seems great! I need to watch The 100. I've been DVR'ing that show since it started and yep, still there, untouched. I really like your pictures!
ReplyDeleteI am curious as to what you thought about Matched. I always LOVE everything and anything Star Wars, so keep the images coming. I won an R2-D2 lunch bag and thermos shaped like the droid, with sound effects, from Amazon this week! I was gob smacked. Have a wonderful week. :)
ReplyDeleteWow that art is amazing!!!! I love Star Wars!! We actually decided that for Wyatt's first Halloween he will be dressing as either Han Solo or Luke - his cousin is going as Princess Leia. It is going to be so cute! Lol.
ReplyDeleteI am not quite ready for fall reading - I was just thinking about the RIP Challenge, trying to think of what I want to read this year. Maybe if it wasn't so hot and humid around here these past few days!
Love the pictures of bookstores! I'm also a Ren Fest fan...going this weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love that artwork! I'm getting super excited for the movie! To think I was less than thrilled about it at the beginning of the year, and now I'm ready to camp out day early if I need to. :P
ReplyDeleteI hope this week has been treating you well!
