Sunday Post #488

Well Mom is home and doing fairly well. As mentioned in last weeks post she was in the hospital for a range of issues including shortness of breath and Physical Therapy and Occupational therapy strongly recommended she go into rehab for a week to strengthen. She didn't want to so she came home - luckily she's doing well. And I get it. I would not want to go to rehab either. Plus people heal better at home?

I'm having a bit of fun with my mystery lyrics. I used to do this on Twitter.

Here is this week's lyric.

Who knows where the cold wind blows? I asked my friends but nobody knows.

Here is the lyric f/ last week and the answer

Your love's contagious. One kiss is dangerous.

  1. I'm glad your mother is feeling better. ❤️ I hope she continues to improve.
I love the eeriness of the cover of the week.

  2. It is great that your mum came home. Mysterious lyrics add spice and interests to life in general. I enjoy it very much

  3. That's great news about mom. I have heard it is hard to get rest at the hospital. I hope she continues to do well. Pat Benatar. I remember rocking out to her songs in grade school.

  4. Glad your mom is doing well. I think everyone does recover better when they're in their own home. And I love that old Michael Crichton cover! I didn't even know he wrote under different names.

  5. Great to hear your mom is doing better. I doubt I go anywhere this weekend due to snow..just not sure if it will be much or not. ❤️💕🍄💕❤️I'd like to see THE LAST OF US. But I am doubting I will get to. I did get Italian at lunch and the sausage and peppers with pasta will last me all weekend. It was a huge plate of pasta and I managed bearly a fourth. It is really good but very rich. I had won a gift card at our local Luigi's and they make a very good Tiramisu too, which I took home. But I am probably one of a few that would never get tire of Schlotsky's!( ̄y▽ ̄)╭ Ohohoho..... Such cool pulp fiction cover! And I always love Benatar even if I love..LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD the most! Hope you have a good weekend. ❄️💗❄️💗❄️💗

    1. I hope your week is going OK. I feel I had something to go out and do every moment when I wasn't at work..so I am definitely ready for the weekend. But I finally finished K-Drama Good Detective 2. All these forecast of snow and then it didn't really hit us hard, but February is coming and that might mean a drastic change. It has been so mellow this winter which I know is not the case in a lot places. Stay healthy, don't work too hard. Hope you find a good sandwich place soon. Pickleman's in OMAHA does make some good sandwiches too, but I haven't been to the OLD MARKET in ages. Oh, I did make to THE SPECIALS to have the chicken fried chicken at one of my favorite hometown places. Of course, we talked to much so I didn't get finish off the whole plate, which was a good thing, because it really is too rich for my diet. Have a great weekend💗

  12. I'm so glad your mom is doing better! Being at home can make you feel more comfortable and peaceful, so maybe that helps the healing process.

  13. I would rather be home and relxed near family than in rehab. It's probably less stressful. Hope she is doing better.

  14. I'm glad your mom is doing well. My dad refused to go to rehab after he broke his hip. He had the physical therapist coming to his house 3 times a week for a while.

  15. I'm glad your mother is doing well and the home situation is working out for her. I can completely understand not wanting to go to rehab - especially if you are able to get some PT at home. That Michael Crichton cover is creepy and reminds me of why I don't like getting into water I can't see the bottom of! Even if nothing is currently happening to her in the actual picture you just know it will! Have a great week.

  16. I’m glad to hear your Mom is doing well. I completely understand wanting to be home. Love the pulp cover. Although the woman is blonde, the first thing I thought of when looking at is how Natalie Wood tragically died. Have a wonderful weekend Greg!

  17. Cool pulp cover - a Michael Crichton book??? Who knew? They always have such scantily clad women - wonder if the pics actually depict an event from the story? Have a good week Greg!

  18. I believe the lyric is from a Whitesnake song, but I can't think of the title.

  19. I am glad your mom is doing well! Also the answer to your lyrics: Whitesnake: Love ain't no stranger. ;-)

  20. Why do I now have to log in to Google to leave a comment. Have had to switch between servers to get my comments in. Chrome won't do Wordpress for me, so have to go to Firefox for those. Crazy. Have a good week.

  21. Glad to hear your mom is home, Greg. I hope she continues to improve. Is she getting some home healthcare since she chose not to go to rehab? I thought those lyrics sounded familiar, but when I Googled and saw what song it was, I didn't know it. Love the guess the lyrics feature. :)

  24. Glad to hear your mom is doing better - I hope she'll keep improving! and you can rest a bit now that she's home (I know I said the same thing last week LOL). Not that there's much rest when you are a caregiver...boy, wouldn't I know.

I don't know any of those lyrics! I suppose it's not your usual radio-friendly stuff LOL. At least when Italian radios are concerned...

  27. So glad your mother is making a good recovery. It's always a comfort to be in surroundings you know when you're feeling ill, I think. And thank you for the pulp cover - I love the fact that she was wearing a revealing bikini in the middle of the night when most of us would be in our pjs!

  28. I'm glad to hear your mom is doing well. I can't blame her for wanting to come home as well. Hopefully she's able to do some PT/OT exercises from home so that she can continue to improve her strength.

    Have a great week!

  32. Glad to hear your mom is doing well. My library clerk's husband has been in and out of ICU and also a rehab, so I hear similar things about how he wants to just be home. Love that lofi for gamers! I am sometimes good with lyrics, but so far not with the ones you've been sharing! Even though once you share the answer I know of the songs at least. Hope you have a good week!

Is that lyric from a Led Zep song? I cannot name that tune.

  41. Happy to hear your mom is doing well after coming home. I honestly think they sometimes suggest rehab to make more money off the insurance companies. 😐

  44. So glad Mom is doing well. Rehab isn't always great, so it's nice she is able to have therapy at home.

I love Pat Benatar's music. I think she hosted a show on Sirius XM radio last week or so.

Hope you have a nice week.
