Sunday Post #462

Could the commenting woes be over? Alas, probably not. However I have noticed a lot less of the comments going as spam this past week.

In other news... I'll be posting Travelers recaps/ reviews.

I am craving Chinese soooo much right now. This is me the next time get some takeout here...

   Song of the week

PULP COVER OF THE WEEK:

  1. That pulp cover isn't very realistic LOL. But at least the woman saves the man for a change!

I remember trying Chinese once eons ago and...I wasn't impressed. Everything tastes sweet.

  2. Chinese takeout does sound really good right about now. :D

  3. Glad to hear less comments are going to spam, but the important question is if you got Chinese take out or not? Have a good one!

  4. Did you get your Chinese? We have a wonderful Chinese Restaurant about 10 miles away from us. It is so good people from all over Scotland and even England travel to it!

Oh I spied Travelers on Netflix so I will give it a go now. We are currently watching Resident Evil series on Netflix.

  5. I got some spring rolls at Trader Joe's to go with the Ramen! I was a teen before I got to try Chinese and that was near the UT campus and I got Moo Goo Ga Pan I have branched out to the more spicy stuff but I love a good Egg Foo Yong but they always say it takes too long to make it when I order it. Now that I watch so many Chinese Dramas they are always having HOT POT which I don't think I could find around here. Of course, Braised Pork is another meal they speak of, but I don't see it much.
All the best to a great weekend of reads and TRAVELERS. Thanks for your comments ❤️

  6. I don't know which is funnier - the 1 Million Years BC movie or the cover for Home is the Sailor! (And I hope this comment does not end up in the spam box...) ~Lex

  7. Wow you've got some self restraint, I'd be getting takeout right now!

  8. I've been getting a lot more spam comments lately unfortunately!

  9. I’ve reverted back to moderating all comments Greg as I had several instances of things going into spam that shouldn’t and my email notifications not working. I love those Jaws posters! Reminiscent of my youth ☺️ Have a good week!

  10. I watched Jaws years ago but don't think I could handle it now, LOL. Have a great week!

  11. A mi me gusta la comida china y el video. Te mando un beso.

  12. That pulp cover is fantastic....it's interesting to see the evolution of book covers and cover design trends over the years. Thanks for the visit Greg.

  13. Is Travelers the series that was cancelled in 2018 or a different series? Here's my Sunday Post: https://bonniereadsandwrites.wordpress.com/2022/07/24/sunday-post-pass-the-peppers/

  14. Well we'll see if my comment ends up in the trash Greg LOL I hope you had that Chinese food!

  15. I really wanted a Chinese. I have gone on about it for ages and my partner finally gave in and did chicken in a sweet and sour sauce. He didn't like it very much, but I did!

I hope the commenting woes sort themselves out soon.

    Have a great week!

  16. I have trouble with your comments getting stuck in my spam filter a lot *shrugs* - however Google thinks the people selling little blue pills are usually something I'd want to read *double shrugs*

Nothing about that book cover says 'sailor' to me. Lol

  17. I hope you got your Chinese takeout order! And now that sounds really good to me as well. Lol.

  18. Oh I love Chinese food! That is usually our lunch stop after Church every Sunday. :)

    Have a great day!

  19. We really struggle to find good Chinese here, most of it is so ordinary, lol. Have a good week, Greg!

  20. I've noticed fewer comments getting tagged as spam, too. Laughing so hard at that clip and substituting it with some nice noodles or dumplings. lol

  21. Hahahaha! Chinese takeout is our favorite, too. We rotate between that and pizza. We get takeout once a month, but this month I had Sebastian buy Impossible plant-based meatballs at the grocery store and sauce from my favorite Italian restaurant, and I made meatball subs instead. 😊

    Have a wonderful week! 🌞

  22. Sorry to hear that the commenting woes continue! Blogger is a menace sometimes.

  23. I'm still having Blogger comments going to spam. It's really weird. I love that pulp cover. It's great.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I like Chinese food as well. That pulp cover look so cool.

  25. I didn't know you had been having commenting woes. I hope they've been sorted out!. That's an unusual pulp cover; nice to have the woman save the guy for once. Have a great week, and happy reading!

  26. I'm glad the commenting spam is lessening. I'm sorry you're having to deal with it. I hope you get some Chinese food soon, lol. I hope you have a great week.

  27. Mmm Chinese! I just wish we had more than ONE Chinese restaurant in our little town. Although I'm grateful to have one vs none, I would really, really be happy if I could get me some Panda Express.

  28. It's always something with the technology, isn't it? I've been working on my recipe repertoire for Asian dishes. I have 3 reliable ones which are as good or better than eating out. One is an Asian Chicken sheet pan using Chicken and Veggies with a soy sauce mixture that gets baked. We use onions, carrots, snow peas and baby corn. The snow peas and baby corn go on a separate pan as they can't cook too long. The others are Pad Thai and Fried Rice which we make mostly with chicken or shrimp. I'm making Shrimp Pad Thai tomorrow night in fact.

  29. You just reminded me, it is time to rewatch JAWS - it isn't really summer unless I do LOL Have a great week.

  30. Jaws was so scary, I wouldn't watch it again!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Glad that most of your comments go through as comment and not as spam. Have a great new week, Greg.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I remember getting 3D glasses to watch Jaws in 3D in our living room back in the early 80s probably. Scared me to death. I hope that you have a great week!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I was thinking the commenting has gotten better, too. Fingers crossed!

    ReplyDelete
  34. We went to a drive-in movie next to Pacific. I was 8 months pg, the fog rolled in from the ocean and drifted around cars. It was so creepy.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I got something like 25 or 30 spam comments on my weekly post last week and they were legitimately spam. I deleted them all and decided that the problem might be with the CommentLuv plugin I had just installed. I uninstalled it and haven't had anymore spam so far. *knock on wood* Not that it has anything to do with your problems :-) I hope yours is fixed.

I wonder if any of us who have seen that movie can get in the water without thinking about it? I know I sure can't. And I jump about a mile if seaweed touches my leg!

    Enjoy your week!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Love the Jaws posters! I hope you can get some great food soon!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I had to fish some comments out of spam this week too. Not sure what's going on with that. Oh, Jaws scared the hell out of me when I was a kid. I was even afraid of swimming in my pool thinking a shark may come out of the drain. I still don't like swimming out deep in the ocean when I can't see what's beneath me.

  38. I had to laugh when you mentioned Chinese food. We just finished our dinner of Chinese take-out! We hadn't had it in a while, but it is too hot to cook. Have a great week!

    ReplyDelete
  39. It is strange why good comments go to spam or in my instant why i have to approve one particular commenter who is totally legit and every time I have to okay her.

    ReplyDelete
  40. LOL, I was craving chinese takeout last week. This week is gourmet burger and fries ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  41. Now you are making me crave Chinese takeout! LOL. Enjoy your week.

  42. The reason you are having fewer commenting woes is that all the evil spammers are now at my blog!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Travelers the Canadian show? Man that was a good show. My hubs has been on a takeout Chinese food kick lately.

    ReplyDelete
  44. WELL now I want Chinese, ugh! Also glad you're having fun with the Travelers rewatch. And it's always something- either too much spam gets in, or your actual comments are thrown away, there is no perfect solution it seems. Hope it works itself out soon!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I've also noticed less spam this week. I hope they've resolved it because it was ridiculous. All the good commenters went to spam while actual spam got through.
