Sunday Post #430

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Mine was full of lots of food. This week I posted a Fandom Mashups Revisited #2 (I'm thinking of making this a semi- regular thing). I also posted a Top Ten and a Bookcover Spotlight. This next week I'm doing another livewatch- this time it's Son of Godzilla. Yes, honestly. Did you know all the Godzilla movies (and a lot of other shows) are free on Youtube now? You have to watch ads, but still.

I discovered this while doing SciFi Month. I also have walking tours- a lantern fest and Christmas lights in the Roppongi district of Tokyo. The ice skating at the end is neat.

This week in walking tours I have a lantern fest in Seoul- this is beautiful.

  1. I love the art of the mermaid with the kraken, she seems very siren-like. ;) Also I hope you had a good Thanksgiving.

  11. Glad you had a good one. We don't do Thanksgiving in Scotland.

OMG Son of Godzilla from the late 1960s? OMG that is my favourite Godzilla movie of all time. I loved the old Japanese ones the best <3 <3

  16. I've heard of the lantern festival but never seen it. How beautiful! We had similar lanterns at the Botanical Gardens here duing the spring but I didn't realize they were the type used in the festival. I love all the Charlie Brown holidays but I think Christmas is my favorite. Have a wonderful week!

  18. Well, here in Gemany we don´t celebrate Thanksgiving the way you do. We have a Thanksgiving at the end of October that is mostly celebrated in a church. But I am glad you had a good one. Happy reading and have a wonderful new week.

  23. Seeing Snoopy gang ice skating makes me smile. I don't much care for winter weather but it does make some nice views.

You've always post such great art finds. That artist Ginkgo Whale's artwork is lovely.

    Have a lovely day.

  24. My son loves the Godzilla movies, thanks for the heads up. The last piece of art you have on here is very Boris Vallejo esk. He did a lot of the fantasy art circa 1980s think Conan type covers. Very nice. Hope you have a great week.

  28. Love the mermaid picture! Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving. I didn't get as much food this year as I usually do, so that was kind of disappointing to me. Oh well. Hope you have a good week!

  29. Nice to hear you had a great Thanksgiving. We didn't do a turkey (it was just the two of us) and I missed that meal! Love all the fixings! Must do one soon. Charlie Brown brings back so many good memories!

  30. I'm glad you had a nice Thanksgiving with good food. I love seeing the Charlie Brown ice skaters. My daughter watches a lot of stuff on Youtube so I did know. But we also have several streaming services now. Through Amazon Prime, you can watch stuff on IMDB with ads also.
