Sunday Post #427

So for SciFi Month I posted my livewatch of Invasion of the Body Snatchers (my favorite post this week) and I also posted some other stuff. Also Trust Issues Part Four went up.

This week is walking tours- o -rama. Again. I have two fabulous walking tours of Halloween in Shibuya. The first one is amazing. As usual the first couple minutes are a highlight reel so you can the highlights if you don't have time to watch. Honestly- can you spot the, um, male anatomy costume in the first 30 seconds? Oy.

And then there are more videos below- I know it's a lot but there was so much this week!

And then this is a walk around Tokyo looking for a famous location from the Your Name anime- this one is a livestream.

And lastly this one is cute- a ride through Tokyo on a rickshaw.

PULP COVER OF THE WEEK:

First off we have a train view of Norway- I honestly just leave this on in the background at times and it's wild.

The Christmas lights are out at Skytree.

  4. It's fun seeing Halloween outside the US. I haven't seen Body Snatchers in forever, but I remember being terrified of being snatched for quite some time after watching it.

  5. I agree, it is really cool to see Halloween celebrated in other parts of the world. Also black and white horror movies are fun to watch.

  6. Stray! Yes! I've been following the development of that game on its Facebook page since 2015 when it was known as the HK Project. Ha ha. I'm so happy it will be on Steam so I can watch Baz play it. I can't play those types of games, they make me nervous. 😅

I'll be back to watch some of the Tokyo videos! 👘

Have a wonderful new wek. 🌞

  7. That male anatomy costume was quite something xD That winter cab view is stunning though, I will definitely be revisiting that! Good luck with the rest of Sci Fi month and I hope you have a great week ahead :)

  8. Not sure if I will have my advents wreath this year on the table at all or any Christmas decoration. This time of the year seems so far away although it is only a couple of weeks before it starts...

  12. I do like the Christmas lights in Tokyo. I don't usually watch or read Christmas-related things this early, LOL. I hate that some channels start showing Christmas in July!

Enjoy your week and your books, and thanks for visiting my blog.

  13. Wow, I'm amazed by the scene from Invasion of the Body Snatchers -- to think a 1956 movie could manage clones and pod scenes and what not! And double wow for Halloween fever reaching Shibuya as well. :)

  14. I haven't watched Invasion of the body Snatchers in so long! I need to watch that again. I normally don't decorate for Christmas till after Thanksgiving, but I'm already in the mood now. Would have actually started a week or two ago, but was waiting until after I had a delivery to put things up that would be in the way. Have a great week!

  15. Christmas! Even though I've been Christmas shopping a lot lately, I don't have much Christmas spirit yet because it hasn't snowed. It usually snows here the first week of October, but we haven't had any snow yet.

  17. I was just telling my Hubby the other day how it doesn't feel like the Holidays. Don't tell anyone, but I kinda want it to snow... I just want it to feel like the Holiday season and it hasn't for the past few years. Any way I hope you have a great week and thanks for sharing.

  20. We had SciFi week for COYER this week. I love SciFi but don't always read it consistently. I read the whole Kinsmen series by Ilona Andrews, which was awesome. I'm still trying to read Glimmer by Marjorie Kellogg but I've had trouble getting into it. I am moody right now with my reads. Your Norway vids make me think of the Iceland Verse stuff I saw this week.

  22. The Norway train view is stunning and that is how I like snow - very much from a distance! I can definitelys see why you enjoy having that in the backgroud. Have a great week!

  23. Oooh the Norway train reminds me of Snowpiercer and now I am creeped out hahha. I cannot figure out the pulp cover- is the man's leg different colors? Is it part of the tree? I need to watch some of these soon, especially the South Korean one! I love them, I just haven't had time- but maybe over Thanksgiving I can!

  24. That’s quite a crowd at Shibuya, though at least they are wearing masks.

Wishing you a great reading week

  28. I love sci-fi TV or movies but I don't read it often. Not sure why. I haven't watched Invasion of the Body Snatchers yet. Must get to it someday!

  29. The Toyko Christmas lights remind me of Singapore. We lived there for a few years and they always went BIG for Christmas with their decorations down Orchard Road. It was fabulous.
