Top Ten Tuesday #248

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new Top Ten list will be posted. Everyone is welcome to join. Link back so everyone can check out other bloggers' lists. It's a fun way to get to know fellow bloggers

This week is books I'd gladly throw into the ocean. I wasn't sure where to go with this one so I'm changing it up- rogue time again- going with books I reviewed in the early years of my blog. In other words, no one has probably seen them! Actually, as I look back through these some have a surprising amount of comments, so I guess someone was reading. Fun to peek back.

Letters from Skye

Tides

The Deep End

Vitro

Tintin in Tibet

Big Little Lies

Bad Girls With Perfect Faces

A Map For Wrecked Girls

Kalahari

13 Secrets

  1. I drew a blank on this week's topic and went rogue too, lol.

  2. I know I have some books I'd throw in the ocean (because they're that weird or I just didn't like them), but I didn't want to use the brain power to make up the list of those titles this week. :D It's always fun to look back on books we reviewed LONG ago (working through mine now since all of my margins are messy from the Blogger to WP transfer). Those are the reviews that got the most comments for me, which tells me, blogging is, sadly, not what it used to be.

  3. I want to read a TinTin novel. I love that you read and reviewed it. My TTT is off-the-board this week

  4. Big Little Lies is my first Moriarty novel and I absolutely love it! I do remember seeing Vitro years ago and I really like the cover. Maybe at some point I actually considered reading it but never had the chance to grab a copy. hahaha

  6. That's a good idea to change up the topic, I don't know if I could bear the idea of throwing any book in the ocean anyway! Love seeing TinTin on here, recently I picked up almost the whole collection - I'm reveling in the nostalgia :D

  7. It's good to be able to look back at some of the books you reviewed years ago. I was surprised at how many of them I'm familiar with... most of them I heard about from you! If we don't talk about them, who's going to hear about them, right?

    1. I was surprised to see how more in depth maybe my older reviews were? I seem to have shortened them- I actually think some of my older ones were better!

  10. Interesting take on this weeks prompt! I haven't heard of most of these books... I went with books I hated 😆

  11. Great topic choice! It makes me want to go back and take a look at my earlier reviews as well (although I know engagement was definitely not high on those posts LOL) 🥲 I do love looking back and seeing how my style has changed though!

  12. Yeah I had to tweak the topic this week myself. You're braver than I am. I don't want to look back at those early reviews. They're cringe-worthy! Lol.

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  14. Clever twist Greg! And there are at least a few watery titles and plots in here. Tides would have worked with my twist today and I still want to read The Deep End!

  15. Oh man, you're brave to share old reviews. I cringe at some of my older posts lol It's not like I've improved that much but some of it is just so bad hahah

  16. I love that the first half are actually books that take place near the ocean, so its sort of an adjacent topic😁

    ReplyDelete
  17. Some of these books I'm familiar with. Must check out your reviews!

  18. I loved the tone and all of Skye, but how the heck did she keep the whole dang island from knowing what she was up to and why didn't some old biddie tip off her husband? LOL

  19. This was a great idea! I was also a bit unsure with this week's topic. I really love the look of Tides, and Kalahari, 13 Secrets, and Vitro are also all really calling out to me!

  20. It's always fun to see what books people reviewed when they first started out. Big Little Lies was a great book.

  21. What a good idea! Hardly anyone saw my first blogging posts, so I could probably do this, too. :)

  22. It's always fun to look back at those first posts :) Yay for Big Little Lies!

  24. It's fun to look back at reviews and books we've read.

  25. Nice idea. My blog is 10, so once a month (Throwback Thursday), I revisit a month from 10 years before.
Have you ever experienced reading one of your old reviews, and having no memory at all of reading the book and reviewing it, like somebody else had written it? No? Well, it means you are still very young, lol

    ReplyDelete
  26. I like the cover for The Deep End. Big Little Lies of course!

  27. I love seeing the older titles appear on your blog. It's nice to look back.

  28. Oh Tin Tin! Haven’t seen one of those books in ages!

  29. That's a great idea, resurrecting past reviews!

  30. Big Little Lies - I enjoyed that one. I have been wanting to read Letters from Skye and The Deep End. I remember when you read that. :-)

  31. Big Little Lies was a lot of fun. I need to try more from that author more in the future.

  32. Not a bad twist to the topic. The only one of those books I know is "Tintin" which I always find funny.

Thanks for visiting my TTT earlier.

  33. I'm finding I'm going rogue a bit too often these days due to repeated topics or ones that don't interest me.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I didn't participate in this week's TTT, but glad to see you did. Your first few books definitely link to the ocean theme (and Kalahari as the complete opposite)! I wonder what's 13 Secrets about, looks charming. And Tintin in Tibet deserves to get as many blogger comments as possible (hopefully of the fun kind) -- it's my favorite from the series.

  35. Love how you went rogue on this one! That Mulhern series is so good and I remember you talking about Letters from Skye. Now I'm wondering what early reviews I have!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Early reviews is something I've been thinking about... discovered that my old blog still exists and I've thought it could be cool to (1) revisit those reviews and (2) get them into the Because Reading reviews archive.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Love your twist on the topic. It's fun going rogue! It's always interesting looking back at early reviews. :)

    ReplyDelete
  38. OMG. This is brilliant! I am going to still this topic when I feel like going rogue next.. that okay??

    ReplyDelete
  39. You are lucky. My reviews usually get next to zero interaction. 😛
