Top Ten Tuesday #244

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new Top Ten list will be posted. Everyone is welcome to join. Link back so everyone can check out other bloggers' lists. It's a fun way to get to know fellow bloggers

This week is a freebie for spring cleaning. Hmmmm. I decided to go with books I'm hoping to review soon. As many of you know I've been slumping big time. It's like an event when I get a book review up! So this will probably overlap some with next weeks topic- spring TBR- but I'll worry about that next week.  :)

  1. Oh I didn't know there was a book about the nature of middle-earth. That sounds interesting.

  2. That Middle-Earth book looks good, there's so much background about the world that's not in the books - must have taken so much restraint for Tolkien not to squash more of it into LotR!

  3. I am totally with you on that. Writing full book reviews (rather than just a paragraph) is my least favourite part of book blogging but I have discovered a shortcut. I just word vomit a few notes when i'm in the middle of reading a book and highlight a few quotes when i find them and voila, a nearly written book review that just needs tidying ;). (if only it was really that easy)

  4. Yeah I twisted the topic a bit too to books I wish I could take off the TBR pile by reading them asap! Lol.

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  8. I just realized that I...kinda...did that. I guess I'll list books to toss out next week.

  9. Dang, you're brave to be in a slump and want to read a book about the Nature of Middle Earth! hahah That would probably put me right back into a slump. Either way, happy reading!

  10. I'd love to read your review of Moon of the Crusted Snow😁 But I totally get those slumps, writing reviews can be a pain, lol.

  11. I hope these reviews come easily for you!

  12. Good luck getting the reviews done! I have a similar problem, honestly. :)

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thanks!

  13. You're going through a book slump too? Me too :-( Why is this happening? January started with such a bang, and then February and March have been so cruel. Well, anything that lightens the TBR load in any way, I'm all for it.

  14. Lord, we're in the same boat, Greg. I too, am in a reading slump -- which sucks because February was such a great month for me! Sighhh.

I hope we'll both get over it soon.

  15. I hope your reading slump will pass soon!

  17. I decided to make my way through the rest of Tolkien's books this year also :D Happy reading! My TTT https://readwithstefani.com/spring-book-unhaul/

  19. I keep feeling like I'm teetering on the edge of a slump but so far it hasn't quite hit yet. I'm being really careful about the books I'm choosing though so hopefully I can fight it off! This looks like a good mix of books and I hope you find a fantastic read - and get a review out of it!

  20. A Stranger in Town is awesome! I just read that one myself. And both Mutations novels look like a lot of fun. :)

  21. Great list! Moon of the Crusted Snow is one I'd really like to try.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Hopefully one of these will be a reading slump buster for you. :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. I will be looking for your Middle Earth review. Curious about that one.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I am so behind on reviews... I feel you on that. I am really curious about Mutations though!

  27. I always seem to have a back log of reviews to write, too. Thanks for visiting my blog.

  28. Amazonie gives me such aan Indian Jones vibe! I hope it's a good read when you get to it!

  29. I'm struggling a bit with TTT as most of the topics are repeats or not relevant to my reading! Like you said, this week's topic is so like next week's which makes it harder!

  30. I've been reading a lot but I totally get when you say you've been slumping when it comes to writing reviews because same! It's been a real struggle 🙈 I hope you find the motivation to write reviews for these soon though! Happy writing, Greg!

  31. Slumps are hard! I was hit by a reading slump this time last year. I hope you get to read and review these soon, and happy reading in March!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Slumps are awful! I hope you're able to get out of yours soon. :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'll be interested to see what you thought of the Kelley Armstrong. I've been seeing good things.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Gosh these all look so good!! I hope you kick your slump's bum and enjoy all of your reads :D

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm perpetually behind on reviewing, so you're not the only one!

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

  36. One day I think I'll have to pick up The Nature of Middle-Earth.

  37. I REALLY want to read all the Leo stuff. I know I can do it on the Amazon comic thingy but I have just been procrastinating! What I really need is time when I don't have review books. But the good news is, you should be able to get through them somewhat quickly! And Moon of the Crusted Snow is short too! I am glad I didn't do this topic, it would have been like 237482 books long. Like hey TTT, don't remind me of how perpetually behind we all are! 😂

  38. Love the cover for Amazonie! Wishing you luck on the slump and I totally relate about being behind on reviews though :)

  39. That's a JRR Tolkein book I've never heard of before! Looking forward to your review. Hope your book slump ends soon.
