Sunday Post #391

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews
It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Book Date

This week I have walking tours of a hot springs town and a walk around Tokyo including Olympic construction. I've also been listening to synthwave and ambient music... you can find a mix called Dune below.

Have you seen Window Swap? Someone introduced me to it in the comments a few weeks ago and I've finally had time to check it out. I love seeing how different people share their window views! You can enjoy it here.

  1. Thanks for those links ! I'm adopting the traditional Chinese music for yoga and The languid afternoon as a wallpaper :) My daughter thought you might be interested in this link if you like Japanese art : https://www.pixiv.net/

  2. I saw you posted a review for Songs from the Deep, except it's not there anymore? C'mon, don't keep us hanging LOL.

  3. Love those walking videos, especially seeing all of the lights in the Tokyo after dark one. I don't know that I would want to take a walking tour in the snow, but watching it on a video is definitely my style, lol.

  4. I've seen Window Swap before, its cool! I just clicked on it and got Brigadoon Western Australia😁

  5. Window Swap is new to me. Cool concept. If you were looking out my window, you would see half the tennis court. The other half is still covered in snow.

  7. Love the walking tour videos! My window view isn't super interesting - mostly trees! But I love the link. I got a view from Milan and one from the Ukraine! Have a great week!

  9. That window swap thing is pretty cool! I kept clicking to see the different places I might get, and boy, some people put a lot of effort in while others...uh...not so much at all, lol.

  17. Lo-fi vibes song are my favourite ambient music -- may it be for reading, trying to sleep, or even doing chores sometimes.

    Have a great week, Greg!

  18. That has to be kind of cool, getting to watch the Olympics be built in Tokyo. I kind of wish I would get a chance to see it while over there but I don't think that will be in the cards for us with the pandemic still going on. Something tells me by the time I get to Okinawa and finish out my quarantine, there wouldn't be enough time for me to get a house secured, move in, and get to Tokyo, quarantine again and get to see it before it's over. Do share pictures, though!

  29. I love those walks around various places so much!

On Window Swap, is there a way to bookmark a window? I just came across one where the camera is in the BEAUTIFUL backyard and there are several bird feeders. I want to move on to another window but check back when the birds are more active. LOL

  30. I love the lofi music! I always love the youtube lofi music that has the little raccoon typing away on his computer. I think it is ChillHop music or something like that. Anyway, I call the little raccoon "Rocco" 😂 He has kept me company when I have studied for the MCAT and when everything moved to online last year and I felt totally unmotivated to work!

Great post as always! I hope you have a great week, Greg! :)

  31. Window Swap is cool! Well, my windows aren’t cool. When I look outside, I see the road, a fence, and neighbors’ houses. Boring.

  32. I will have to check out WindowSwap. I watched a couple of hiking videos the other day of nearby landmarks. My husband and I were talking about maybe trying the trails for ourselves when the weather is a little warmer, but not too warm.

I hope you have a great week, Greg!

  36. I'm really enjoying the walk through the Tokyo Olympic village--I do hope that we get the Olympics this summer. I'm actually not a huge Olympics fan (I just don't seem to be interested when they roll around), but it would be nice to have some normality back!
