I love fall. The autumn colors, the falling leaves, the chill in the air. Every year I look forward to the cooldown and the changing colors, the yellowing leaves and the golden hues. It's such a magical time of year, and I often find myself wanting to read slightly more mysterious stuff. This is the time of year for a mystery or a spookier read.

Covid update! My symptoms have mostly disappeared, except for the extreme fatigue that pops up now and again. For example, last weekend I mostly slept! But that's faded as the week progressed- I feel pretty good right now. I still have a lingering cough occasionally, but it's nothing serious.

The other thing happening are the kittens hanging around. We're not even sure how many- but we keep seeing them.

Song of the week

PULP COVER OF THE WEEK:

BOOKISH LINKS

More walking tours. Tired of these yet? Honestly, my Netflix watching is down because of these. I've been watching these and am seriously starting to recognize places in Tokyo.

This one is fabulous- such a gorgeous area.

A ride on a monorail

Sooo many alleys- this one's like a cyberpunk maze!

This one is nice at the beginning with the view of Tokyo Tower, and then from 20 mins on

This is great also!

Here's a nice cover of Dreams

  1. Nothing beats the weather this time of year. Glad to hear you are feeling better. The virus seems to hit everyone so differently, but I hope your symptoms continue to taper off. Am I remember right, that you are leaving food for the kittens? That will keep them coming back, though, who doesn't love kittens hanging around.

You need to take all those kittens and bring them home to cuddle and love! lol I have been banned from getting anymore (for now) but I can enable others.

Have a wonderful week, Greg! Happy Reading!

I definitely agree on a love for fall colours. Even though I hate being cold, I can't help but appreciate the trees around my house.

  4. I am glad to hear you have pretty much recovered, hope your health continues to improve! I was away last week so I wasn't able to catch up with my usual blog reading and I must have missed something though, because ooh, what kittens? I want to hear about these kittens!

  17. Kittens! Yea!!! Any fluffy white ones? I know it can actually be a bit of a hassle, especially if you don't know how many there are and where to find them all houses again. Constant problem.

Glad you are feeling better Greg. Take care of yourself!

  20. If you have any great pictures of pretty trees feel free to post them! Where I live we have mostly Oak trees that just turn brown and fall off...lol. I love seeing pretty trees but we have very few. :(

Glad you are feeling better and the symptoms are almost gone!

Have a great week and happy reading!

  21. I am really pleased to hear you are feeling better, Greg and I too love autumn and reading suitably mysterious and spooky books this time of year. Sadly I can't be out at the moment, as a pupil at school has tested positive of Covid and so now the whole year group, staff and pupils, have to isolate at home. Thankfully no one else is showing symptoms and the pupil in question only has a high temperature. One silver lining I have had more time for reading and blogging! Take care and happy reading. 👋📚🙂

  22. So glad to hear that you are feeling good! With the rising Covid numbers that is great news. Fall here is a wet and grey thing this year. But usually I love the change of color too. Looks so warm and wonderful. Did you know that your song of the week video is not working? Or is it just for me here in Europe? Anyway. Happy reading, Greg.

  27. So glad to hear you're feeling better! Coughs take forever to go away no matter the cause. So annoying. Make sure you pay attention to that fatigue and get plenty of rest. Love the walking tours through Tokyo. Looks like a crazy city! Have a great week.

  29. I am so glad to hear you're doing better! That's wonderful! And kittens sound delightful. We used to almost regularly find random strays and kittens around our house (we seem to be the hit spot around our neighborhood for some reason), but haven't for almost a year now--I weirdly miss them!

  49. So glad you symptoms seem to be tapering off. It’s strange how the virus effects people so differently. My friend in LA was taken down hard and was on oxygen for weeks. My nephew had a few rough days but otherwise bounced back quickly. Thanks goodness you’re feeling better. I hope the fatigue doesn’t last much longer.

    Great cover of Dreams!

  50. Glad to hear you continue to feel better!

I haven't been able to get out much this past week (Ripley was spayed and we're stuck home watching her) but the weather went from 80's to a predicted freeze this week and my head is spinning. I'm not ready lol

I'm hoping to get out and do a little leaf peeping this weekend so I at least get in some fall fun before I hibernate.
