Sunday Post #355

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews
It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Book Date

So how is everyone this week? I'm still watching Riverdale and the 100. I'm doing more bingewatching than I am bingereading, unfortunately. Is anyone else's reading down?

I did binge the third season of Marcella this week. That show is whacked out. I think the first season is my favorite but it was nice to revisit the characters again- and I LOVE the theme song.

  1. Lovely art picks this week, especially the sci-fi themed ones! Caves of Tau Ceti is just wow!

  2. Pretty cool how you read a book that mentioned that city and then saw the travel video for it. :)

  3. I'm neither binge-reading nor binge-watching (though the latest season of Doctor Who was on one of our free channels this week, so I did watch that). I'm feeling pretty deflated lately, what with my work problems and the situation in general...I hope life's treating you better than it does me.

I really liked A Languid Afternoon, with the painting within the painting.

  4. I was sad seeing that All Time Low song. I was supposed to see them in August. *sad face* I love ATL, and their shows are always so much fun

  5. It's taking me a week to read a book at the moment which is poor for me! All I want to do after a hard day of housework and clearouts is to binge watch TV too!

  6. I'm still making my way through Riverdale for the second time, how lazy is that? Lol.

  7. I think I've read less books so far this month than previous months - I think it's because I've been working more hours - less time for reading!

  8. My reading is now so slow that I can hardly class myself as reading. It's ridiculous. It took me a week to read a novella! :(
However, I'm like you and managing to binge watch TV at least. It's been Medici on Netflix for me though. I need to catch up on Riverdale and The 100! Think I have two seasons now of each to watch.
Ah well, whatever keeps us sane at the moment, right?!

  9. I think my reading has been up this month only because I ran out of things I wanted to watch on TV. :)

  10. My reading is on the up-swing again, finally! But we don't watch much tv to begin with. We don't have cable, and ever since thew Wii stopped supporting Netflix a couple years ago, that went away also. We watch movies but that is about it. And the living room television no longer even works, so for now it is merely a stand for Eleanor's artwork.

  11. My reading's definitely up right now, but there are a few shows that are calling my name. I'm really looking forward to Cursed and Warrior Nun on Netflix. I also just heard about Kingdom a Korean show on Netflix that looks amazing - I really like the main actor from his other things so I'm going to have to give it a try too. :)

  12. About two months ago I did a lot of binge watching, and barely read anything. Currently my reading is doing a bit better, but not too much!

  13. I've never been a great binge watcher, so I'm not doing too much TV watching. However, I am watching Schitt's Creek for the first time and loving it. I'm halfway through the fifth season, so I'm hoping the sixth and final season will reach Netflix soon!!!

  14. Good Girls Lie looks great. I hope you’ll enjoy it.
We are currently watching Masterchef Australia whenever we have the time to watch something. I love it.

Have a great week & Happy reading!

  15. My reading is definitely down - I've spent a lot of time on Twitter, and signing petitions etc... I have been able to read a bit more again this past week, though, thank goodness. It's my way to relax and feel better.
I am planning on starting to watch the 100 next week when I start my vacation :) I have only watched a few episodes of the very first season before.
Have a wonderful week ahead! Stay safe and healthy.

  16. My reading is also down, but I did manage to finish a book this week. I've been watching Bosch and 30 Rock. Happy reading!

  18. I read less books than I have before Corona. I do read, yes, but news, newspapers and research material. To be honest.

  19. I like the photo of A Languid Afternoon.

I keep waiting to read your thoughts on Good Girls Lie!

I haven't finished Season 3 of Marcella yet...I'm still trying to remember what happened in the last season. Too much time went by. I need to watch it all again.

Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

  20. I am still reading a fair amount - but bingeing on Lucifer, which Himself and I LOVE. Though not happy with the order of a couple episodes at the end of the third series and the start of the fourth series - heads should roll for THAT messup. Lovely selection of pics this week, Greg - thank you so much for going to such trouble, I don't always say it, but I very much appreciate it:)). Have a great week.

  21. I have not watched Marcella yet but the song is definitely catchy. I hope you are staying safe and good.

  22. I have actually been getting a lot of reading done, which is a change for me.

  23. I got stuck halfway through the second season of Riverdale. I've got to get back to watching it. I've been playing Animal Crossing too much. Hope you have a good week!

  26. I am binge watching Supernatural ...through my kid and hubs LOL Maybe Riverdale will be next

  27. My reading has been way down lately. I'm feeling the pressure now that we are halfway through the year!
    Have a great week!

  28. It's too hot here to enjoy being outside. 108F here today. it will be hotter next month. Oh joy. Still just hanging in there. I started watching The 100 with our daughter and I still don't get it. lol

  29. Cool art this week! My reading has been up, but that’s probably because I’ve been reading a bunch of short stuff and audiobooks. Have a good week!

  30. It varies for me - one week my reading is up, the next down. I think I just get too distracted with everything that's been going on. I have to figure out when I stopped watching Riverdale and get back to that one. I hope you have a great week!

  31. My reading's definitely up and down... I've been reading less than I once did for years, but this level is especially low. :( It's definitely something a lot of people are feeling!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I've been reading more than usual and watching more than usual. I'm retired and have plenty of time. Marcella is getting a little too upsetting for me and I might have to stop watching it.. I'll look into Riverdale.. thanks

  33. I'm bingereading for sure because I can do it outside. I've read so many more books this past month compared to the previous months. And they all happen to be great books. Enjoy your summer days, they go by so quickly.

  34. I can't believe I haven't been watching The 100 yet this season. All of my TV time us soent with my daughter and/or my husband, so I'm missing any and all shows they don't want to watch. It's sad!

  35. Binge watching sounds good because you obviously like the shows. (Unfamiliar to me, but then I don't watch that much). I don't binge read either but I do try to read for some section of time each day. Keep safe and well.

  36. Sorry you're readings down, mine is as well. I think I am definitely getting distracted by TV. I'm not binge watching anything though. I keep trying to find my next show to watch and keep failing to get into it after a couple of episodes even though they're shows I love. It's the same with films though so I guess my brain is on one right now.

  37. I think that my reading has dropped off a bit over the last couple of weeks. I think it is something to reading ARCs rather than just what I want.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I have been bingewatching too. Right now we are binging on The Order. So good! I am thinking about going back to Riverdale - I have to know what those guys are up to now! Plus I think I have a tiny celebrity crush on the Sheriff. Lol.

  39. I've been doing lots more reading than I have watching anything. I am enjoying a series on audio right now. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  40. I need to try Marcella, someone else recced it too

  41. I kind of don't allow myself to take reading breaks, so I guess I have been a better reader than watcher. But that is also because I cannot find anything that is holding my interest after Into the Night! Show hangover, I guess. At least Dark is back this week!!

Also between the Tau Ceti caves and the outer space restaurant (and fine, The 100), I am high key bummed that I never get to go to new planets!

  42. My reading hasn't been too bad but the reviewing part is where I'm struggling. I finish a book and either jump right to the next one or else procastinate altogether by jumping on Netflix or Hulu. I guess my overall rhythm is just off, if that makes sense, lol.

  43. I am now back on track with my reading after a real rocky start to the year reading wise - and I am thankful to be back to books. I think its natural to be binge watching rather then reading what with everything still going on world wide; it requires a different concentration level.

Love the pulp cover this week.

  44. Don't get me started on talk about binging, Gorgeous Greg!(lol) I got hooked on the Alex Rider series and season 2 of Condor because I love a good spy story. Then I had to go and find other versions of some of my fave cooking shows. But I have been reading a Tom Clancy/Marc Cameron thriller that's pretty amazing. I sure hope you're doing well. Hugs, RO
