I have bronchitis apparently and have been totally out of it all week. It started more or less on Tuesday and by Wednesday I was sick as a dog- no energy, congested, the whole thing. I finally went to the doctor on Thursday and they've been seeing a lot of pneumonia but they think I just have bronchitis, so it's steroids for me. I'm typing this out Friday night and I can happily report I'm feeling better, so yay me. I skipped a couple posts this week but did manage to get out Movies That Suck.

I've been thinking of changing up my format for Movies That Suck. I mean, they're long posts and I tend to stream-of-consciousness react to the movie as I watch, but are they too long? Should I just hit the highlights (or lowlights, as it were)? I try to cover the plot and pretty much everything that happens, more or less, but I'm wondering what you think. Is less more in this case? Or do you like the way I'm doing them? And if you could care less or are like "what Movies That Suck?", well that's okay also. :)

This week I'll have my review for Someone We Know (I promise) and my review for Wilder Girls is coming as well. I've been slacking. It's just that I've been doing everything but reading, seems like, and this week has been a disaster.

  2. Sorry to hear you are sick! Bronchitis has been going around it seems, I know of several people who got hit with it this month. I got it earlier in the year, and the worst part is the cough that takes forever to go away even if you are feeling fine. Rest up and hope you feel better soon!

  9. I'm so sorry that you haven't been feeling well, and thank goodness they found the culprit and treated you with the proper medication to make you feel better. Still, I hope you've been resting and taking some time to catch up on Netflix until you're 100%. I like the format of the Movies That Sucks that you do because it gives a really good picture of what the movie is about, along with your personal review. Meanwhile, I'm sending lots of healing hugs your way, Gorgeous Greg! RO

    1. Right? I almost didn't go to the doctor, but people could hear me breathing across the room, so I guess it was time. :) Thank you for the vote on the Movies too, everyone seems to be saying the same thing, more or less, so I'm glad they're working. And thanks rocking Ro!!!

  11. Ugh I am sorry you are not feeling well! That respiratory stuff is really going around. Wyatt and Billy just got over that too - and Wyatt needed breathing treatments. I hope you feel better soon!

I like the format to Movies that Suck! I usually read them days later but I always wish I read them closer to your post. Do you post on the blog and update while watching, like a live thing?

    1. Isn't it awful? It's the worst when the little ones get it.

And thanks. I don't actually post live on the blog, I take notes of my reactions while I watch, then usually do a little research on the movie just to see if there's trivia worth mentioning, then I write it up. I would kinda like to do that though. That's an awesome idea!!!

  18. So sorry to hear that you were sick! That is no fun at all but I am very happy you are feeling better. I have been slacking on the reading also. I can't remember the last time I finished a book and that is scary. I keep starting them but not finishing.

  22. Oh no, sorry to hear about the bronchitis, Greg. I have a long history of getting bronchitis and it always takes me down hard. Takes me a long to to recover and get my strength back. I hope you bounce back quickly with the steroids.

  23. Sorry you've had such an ill week, Greg. I'm glad that the antibiotics have helped with the bronchitis. As for advice about your movie posts; write what makes you happy (or need to vent about).

  24. Well Greg I wasn't kidding when I tolde that I got the cold that everyone seemed to have! But yours is worst because ...bronchitis! I am happy to hear that you feel better though.

  25. Geeze, glad you're feeling better! That's awful. Take care of yourself, so you won't slump back like a lot of people said they did. 😷

I think your running commentaries for the movies are fine. As far as views/comments are concerned when it's a movie not many people have heard about I think they tend to not click on it, so featuring more well known movies is best, but thats just my take on things, ha ha. 😄

Have a wonderful, and healthier new week! 🌞

  33. Glad you are feeling better! Seems I've struggling with sinus stuff the past few days and trying to get it to not turn into anything worse. I used to get strep throat all the time - until the tonsils came out at the young age of 27 - nightmare! I love the cover of Scream Street. It's like she's saying "You know that nap you're trying to take? It's going to be a long one!"

  37. Ugh - so sorry that you’re sick. I feel like everyone I know is sick and a lot of really weird/severe things for so early in the fall. Glad its probably not pneumonia. I’ve used the steroid inhaler for asthmatic bronchitis and it worked really well to get rid of the cough.

    Feel better soon!!

  44. Oh no, you've had bronchitis too!! It royally sucks. Hope you feel better this week. I am very, very slowly starting to feel more myself. Amazing how fast it comes on and how long it takes the symptoms to all go away!

  46. Hope you are all rested up by now. I used to get Bronchitis without fail every fall. Once my temp was so insanely high, my friends had to physically walk me to the campus health center with one on each side, because I was so dizzy and out of it. It was awful.
