Sunday Post #300

So... Sunday Post #300. Hard to believe I've been doing this so long. A big thanks to Kimba for hosting this every week- and thanks also to everyone who stops by every Sunday to say hi. I feel like I've made friends through the Sunday Post and that's pretty special. Okay- so this week I finished Westworld S2 and binged The Society. Anyone watching that on Netflix? I really like the show, but so many questions... it did get me thinking though- what would have happened if my high school class had gotten, you know, stranded with no parentals (or anyone else) around?

Other than that- not a lot of reading. It was a short week though. I did a Movies That Suck to celebrate the new Godzilla movie-  Monday I'll be returning to my Song Lyrics posts- and I might get a review out for After The Lights as well.

Here's the (by now) usual Sea of Thieves- absolutely hilarious at the 23 min mark when a kraken attacks!

  1. Oh man, in my SoT game play I still have yet to encounter the kraken. Though my friend did one time, and they had a whole hull full of treasure when the thing attacked and killed them all, causing them to lose everything! I mean, it's funny now and we all laugh about it, but I imagine at the time it was pretty intense/frustrating, haha!

  2. SpaceAmbient is quickly becoming my go-to channel on youtube. Thanks for introducing it to me.

Also, I have to ask. Why do you post these on Saturday (or Friday I guess?) but call them Sunday Posts? At first I thought it had to do with the whole time difference thing, but then upon reflection realized that just can't be. So I'm curious :-)

    1. Oh cool. I like a lot of the music they upload.

And... that's a good question lol. I used to post them just on Sundays but then decided they would be my weekly wrap up post... I just haven't ever, um, renamed the feature. :)

  3. I did a bit of reading but most of my focus has been a rewatch of Game of Thrones as it has left a hole in my life and I'm not ready to walk away!!!

  4. Hooray for your 300th Sunday Post! That's pretty awesome. :) The only TV I watched this week were the two Stanley Cup playoff games. Now that GoT is done, and once the playoffs are over, I'll go back to rarely ever turning the TV on.

  5. Hard to believe it's already June! I've been listening to lots of music, and catching up on my reading. Should be finished the Malta Exchange by Steve Berry, which is a historical/fictional thriller that brings on many questions and lots of excitement. Major kudos on the 300th Sunday Post, Gorgeous Greg! You've sure been busy. I'm glad I found your blog, and so happy that you're feeling healthy. I'm always concerned about that, even though you don't talk about it these days. Lots of new YA romances on Netflix I'll be checking out too. Weird that I watch YA but don't read it much.(lol) Happy weekend! RO

    1. Thanks rockin Ro! And I'm glad too- and likewise! I've been pretty well, and I've thought about sharing more, but just... haven't. Maybe soon. I appreciate your thoughts though- they mean a lot! :)

Health is a funny thing and some days are better than others, but by and large I'm trying to be healthy? Adjusting to veganism is a challenge but I'm on it.

      Happy reads!

  7. That's pretty cool that you've consistently done The Sunday Post for so long. I get bored easily and I always want to shake things up, but I do love this meme even if I don't do it that often.

  11. I appreciate your willingness to share each week, it takes a certain amount of commitment. Without feeling like I am obligated to anyone, sitting at the computer takes a toll on my back so sorry that I haven't commented in a while. I do not wish to get a laptop or cellphone either. I love the gif of Anne Bonny of Black Sails. I watched the show because of Zach McGowan who plays Charles Vane but I don't have Stars and HBO+Crave subscription anymore since Game of Thrones ended. I hope I can get it either from Youtube or Netflix perhaps? So sad. I like those pirates maytee Growr. Captain Flint is growing on me and might even surpass Charles Vane in handsome and debonnaire. Haha!

I love the Let's Play video and the Kraken was hilarious. They are so funny! I love how they keep in character. I have been watching the Five Nights at Freddy's VR gamer videos. So funny to watch them play with the VR.

I hope you have a fantastic week Greg! Happy Reading! :)

  15. I saw the preview thing for The Society, but I'm wary of shows that bring up lots of questions without many answers, ever since Lost lol. But now I do wonder what a bunch of high schoolers would do! I like that 1972 picture.

  22. Congratulations on your 300th Sunday Post - you're right - that's a looong time:)). Once more, many thanks for the pics - though this week it was the pulp cover that caught my attention - what a coincidence that she happened to hide out in his apartment wearing nothing but a pyjama top... Have a great week, Greg.

  29. 300 posts is about 6 years or so. I've been blogging almost that long but not doing the Sunday post. I mostly read and listen to audiobooks. There are tv and movies which interest me but they are lower priority than books so i just never get to them. I have Netflix but my daughter uses it. I'm listening to Limited Wish right now and enjoying this series. It's a bit different and I like that.

  30. My high school would have broken off into factions, and we probably would have existed like the characters in Divergent (hopefully with a better ending). There was a very clear social structure at my high school, and I don't think we would have survived very long without adults, haha. Although, this also makes me think of The 100 and what they accomplished together after landing on Earth.
