Happy Easter to all who celebrate! I love this time of year- the sense of renewal, the onset of spring, and of course celebrating the holiday. Sign-ups for the Bookish Games started this week- you can find that here. You can sign up if you want, or join the Spectator Chat. Sometimes it's fun just to watch the chaos. What are the Bookish Games? Well it's an online book version of Mafia where participants are given roles from the book. Last team standing wins. This edition is Nevernight by Kristoff. Let's see, in other news... oh Game of Thrones is back! Episode two already this weekend! And now that I have HBO NOW (I only get it for GoT) I guess I might watch Westworld S2. Did anyone watch it??

As I was putting this post together I came across something called Unseen Westeros- it's an art exhibition they did back in January to showcase concept art inspired by Game of Thrones. It's also a Kickstarter with an art book you can purchase. I've included some links below- the point of it is to showcase locations that you haven't seen on the show.

This week I'll be reviewing Killing November and maybe I'll even do a liveblog watch of Jurassic World 2.

  3. I wasn't a fan of the original Westworld film so I haven't been keen to watch the series though my dad is keen to see it. I'm a nervous wreck about this coming battle in GoT though!

    1. I know! And I thought Westworld S1 was just okay, so I really have no idea about S2!

  8. Happy Easter, Greg! I admit I wasn't blown away by GoT last week. I think I had built it up and was expecting epic. I did enjoy the reunions (esp Jon and Arya). The claws are going to come out with Sansa and Daenarys. And the look between Jamie and Bran at the end? Bahaha! Classic. :) Can't wait to see what tomorrow episode brings.

    1. Happy Easter! I wasn't either. I think it was WAY too built up! But I'm excited to see what they do for us this week!

      And yes that ending!

  10. Let us know what you think of Westworld if you watch it, I've been very curious about that one too (and we also did the HBO NOW things just for GoT, lol). Love the art pieces this week, and the emphasis on Unseen Westeros is so appropriate!

  18. Happy Easter!
I watched Westworld S2 and, excluding the awesome ending, I wasn't a fan. The story jumped around way more than in S1. It was like they were expecting me to do hardcore research with notes to keep everything on a timeline. I adored S1 and all the time jumping did great things for that section of the story but, for me, it was too much in S2 so just beware of that :)

    1. No? That's good to know. I've heard similar things, so honestly- I'm not sure what to expect from S2, but I'll definitely go in keeping that in mind! :)

  21. I agree with you about there being an amazing sense of renewal at this time of year. I think it helps that spring is coming and that always makes me happy. And I am very excited for the next episode of Game of Thrones I can see it being an epic final season. I'm currently rewatching just to make me extra confused about what's going on.

  22. I mostly get HBO for GoT, too, but sometimes they have good movies. I’m so excited that GoT is back. I’m counting down the hours until tonight’s episode.

  25. Bookish Games sounds like so much fun. I need to check out the Spectator Chat! I love the cover to They All Fall Down. I hope you enjoy it. I hope you are enjoying your Easter. We started out with an Easter Egg hunt around the house and will be sitting down for dinner in a little while. We aren't having the most traditional meal, but then, Easter isn't really a big holiday for us. If it weren't for my daughter, I imagine it would be just another Sunday. I did manage to get some spring cleaning done yesterday. There's still a lot more to do. That will have to be next weekend's project! Have a great week, Greg.

  31. I'm trying to catch up on some blogs but let's be honest. I'm still pretty useless. I did manage to read some yesterday and it kind of kept my mind off of things. I am really enjoying GoT this year but I'm so sad thinking about some of my faves dying.

  39. That Dazed and Confused scene is the best! I love that movie. I can't even count how many times I've seen it though I admit my sympathies lie much more with the parents in the beer buying scene than they used to! Hope you're having a great week!
