Sunday Post #271

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews
It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Book Date

I am going through Bookish Games withdrawal, I'm thinking? I keep thinking I need to log in and check how much time is left, or who's voting for whom lol. But it also means I have time to, like, you know read and whatnot.

The read-a-long for The Long Way To A Small Angry Planet is underway for SciFi Month. The first chat on Twitter is this Sunday. And SciFi Month has had a ton of awesome posts so far- you can find the master list here. #RRSciFiMonth on Twitter.

I've also got The Cheerleaders coming as well. And I'm still trying to get a Movies That Suck post ready to go. Soon...

  12. Speaking of "bookish games", do you know the Chapters game app? Check it out if you haven't.

  13. Yay, I love pixel art! Not sure what was the inspiration behind the one with the city, but it totally reminded me of the old trailer towers of Ready Player One. And I love the Harley Quinn art too. How timely, I just started the Mad Love novel about her life.

  14. I agree- I was so SAD that I wasn't going to be able to play anymore but then... neither were the rest of you 😂 I hope these Townies learned their lesson of what happens when you kill Shannon. (I love how the only mafia who voted for me was Jade, at the last minute too hahha. The townies did the work for you and we high key deserved to lose.)

Now, I must go move to the Shore picture, and stay there forever and ever because it is perfect.

    1. Such an abrupt ending- but yes we have the Townies to thank! Haha mafia didn't have to do much this time around. Oh and I might have voted for you- I was just being nice. :)

  36. It's a Sci-Fi Month and nobody told me?! *gasp*
I hope you like Long Way- I enjoyed it, although the second and third novels each have a slightly different feel to them. I can also (always) recommend The Expanse series (start with Leviathan Wakes). And enjoy the other reads!
Also, yes to Bookish Games withdrawal....I've been dragging my feet on answering the poll about improving it because I don't want to admit it's over, even though we won and you were frighteningly good at keeping up an "aw, shucks" townie exterior. :D

  40. That's funny that your having bookish game withdrawals at least that means you really liked it. :)

As I write this it's SNOWING here! :( We are not supposed to be having snow yet so this makes me nervous for winter! :(

    Have a great week!

  41. I started reading The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet on your recommendation and I just love it. I'm at 90% now and I hope to finish today. I didn't participate in the Twitter chat (I don't really do Twitter) but I hope to have it up in my Book Chat soon. Such a fun book! I don't want it to end.

  42. talking scifi, I just watched Galaxy Quest, so good. And I also finally my favorite audiobook of all times, Ready Player One. and it's actually so good, I liked it as much as the book. I had forgotten that the awesome narrator Wil Wheaton had also narrated Armada by Ernest Cline. I loved the (written) book, so I'm going to listen to the audiobook now. 48. You always have the best pictures. I love Scifi and need to look into that for next year. Is there such a thing as Christmas Scifi? I have too many romances for HoHoHoRAT - I need some other genres. I like romance but in small doses. Anne - Books of My Heart
