Mystery Blogger Award 2018

mystery-blogger-award

I was tagged for the Mystery Blogger Award by Brittany at Perfectly Tolerable (thanks Brittany!!!) and it looks fun so even though I've done this one before, why not?

RULES

1) Put the award logo on your blog

2) Thank whoever nominated you and include a link to their blog.

3) Mention the creator of the award and provide a link to their blog as well. (Maggie at okoto enigmas blog)

4) Tell your readers three things about yourself

5) Nominate 10-20 people

6) Notify your nominees

7) Ask your nominees any five questions of your choice, specifying one weird/ funny question.

8) Share a link to you best post(s).

Three Things About Me

1) I won a trip to Florida once.

2) I'm in the process of going vegetarian- something I never thought I'd do.

3) I had epilepsy as a kid. Very mild and outgrew it by my teens.

Brittany's questions

1) What is your favorite book?

I don't even know- this changes so much! Right now I'll go with this one- next week it might be different. :)

The Shark Club

 2) What was the last thing you created?

Ooh let's see. Okay I just wrote a flash fiction called The Escape. I guess that would be it.

3) What is your favorite childhood memory (or at least a very good memory)

So many... I would have to say time spent up at the lake on vacation. We went up a lot in the summer as a kid and those were good times. :)

4) If you were granted 3 wishes, what would you wish for?

Wow.. tough one. Off the top of my head... 1) Maybe financial independence? I don't need to be rich but I'd like to be comfortable while spending as much time reading and blogging as possible lol. 2) I have an old friend who I've drifted away from, and I'd like to reconnect. Life's too short. 3) Maybe the ability to time travel without, you know, screwing up the timeline or anything.

5) What is the best joke you have ever heard/ told?

I... do not know. I'm not remembering any? So I guess I'll just share this.

My Best Post

One of my faves this year is Why Dragons Are Like Cats

I Nominate

La La in the Library
Jo's Book Blog

My Questions

1) If you could have the answer to one question- what would it be?

2) What is your favorite concert/ theater production/ event you've ever attended?

3) Favorite season

4) Name a movie that affected you greatly

5) Favorite fictional family or relationship

  1. Thanks for nominating me Greg!!!! I can't wait to do this. I have tried to go vegetarian too. It is hard when I am the primary cook in a family of carnivores. When I eat out, I never order meat, just seafood. Mostly shrimp. I never never eat pork. My husband tries to eat less meat too. Anyway, thanks again for the tag.

    1. Sure thing Jolene! It is hard. Although at the point I'm at, it's easier. I have to mentally be there. :) And I guess I'm going more pescaterian, since I still eat fish. But yes I've always been a carnivore. :)

    1. I know right? I used to say "I never win anything." Then one day I did! It was through a supermarket too- you know, one of those things where you drop the card in the barrel and forget about it.

  8. Wow, vegetarianism, that is impressive. I have always thought it would be nice, because I am sure cows don't like being eaten and such but... I'm too deep into a taco obsession, sorry cow. Also, the fact that you put that friend as one of your three wishes? I think it means that you should probably just do it- it's one of the things you actually CAN make happen, you know? (Also, you're clearly a better person than me because mine would all be insanely selfish ha.) This is a really fun tag!

  9. I would like to time travel just to observe different times. Like I would like it to be a movie for me.

  10. Oh I'd love to be financially independent too - right now it's a struggle to get in enough reading time and blogging along with working and other adult things. 🙈

Winning a trip is amazing! Especially Florida too.

  11. I think the question I'd want answered is who decided that JFK and RFK were to be assassinated? I want names!

  12. Congrats on the award! Time travel would be so amazing! I think for me, it would be even awesome for the little things. I live 2.5 hrs. from all my family and friends. The drive is awful and it would be great to just bypass that all the time!

  13. Omg I absolutely love your wishes. I'd love to be financially comfortable as well, and I have a lot of close friends I've grown apart from and would love to reconnect. And time travel would be awesome. Congrats on the nomination, Greg! :)

  14. You are welcome!! Great answers :D Tho you couldn't have come up with any jokes?!?! I am glad you grew out of your epilepsy and time travel would be awesome! I need to go check out your Dragon/Cat post! I love both so much and I could totally see it!

  15. Tell me your secret to winning a trip! The most I've won is a signed book by an author I admire (which is amazing, but can't really compare to a whole expenses paid trip to Florida) :)
