Bookcover Spotlight #31

  1. These covers evoke such good memories. The books in this series were the 1st I ever read! So I credit Keene (and my mom who taught me to read on them)for my love of reading!

  2. The Nancy Drew covers are my very favorite! There's a store on Etsy that has pillows with the old covers on them and they tempt me regularly. I don't remember this one at all. Maybe it's time for a reread?

    1. I should re- read some too as I only dabbled in this series and didn't read that many. And those pillows- how awesome would that be? :)

  3. Nancy Drew has the best retro covers, I am going to try and get my kids reading these books so I can enjoy them again.

  4. You know I love this cover! Nancy Drew covers are always great. But I will say I think I like the original artwork even better than this one. I think they changed it when they republished in the 1960s? https://www.goodreads.com/book/photo/15776831-the-mystery-at-the-ski-jump

    1. I'm kinda fascinated by the older editions of Nancy Drew (and Hardy Boys too), as I've read that Stratemeyer revised them to make them more current. So I don't think I've read the original text of the ones I've read, and that bothers me a bit. I'd like to experience the originals.

And yes, I love that cover you linked to! So much better- with the ski jumper, and the moon in the background. Great cover, and I've never seen it before...
