Sunday Post #32/ It's Monday. What Are You Reading?

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.

This past week I was out of town for work all week, and between that and the Olympics I didn't read anything. I also didn't post post anything or visit many blogs, so if I seemed scarce- I was! This week hopefully will be better on that front. I came back into town last night and told the girls I would bring them something, but wasn't sure what. Then I thought... Krispy Kreme! Yes, food! We have a KK across town, so over I went. They were hopping too on a Friday night, and with it being Valentine's Day- even more so. Lots of couples in there having some doughnuts and coffee. Let's just say there were happy faces when I came home with two boxes of Krispy Kreme (and yes- flowers too!)- cause you gotta have glazed and chocolate glazed after all. Then we sat and watched the Olympics- a pretty good night.

Oh, and hats too. Big hit! Almost as popular as the doughnuts...

NEW THIS WEEK:

Legacy of the Clockwork Key (The Secret Order, #1)

  1. Honestly I don't know how I feel about the Black Widow movie. She is just not my favorite character. I think watching an entire movie with her would be like watching Shield. She is a spy, not really a superhero. We'll see......

    1. Yeah it could be good or it could be bad, that's true. I want to think it would be good, especially since the new Captain America looks good... but if it's like SHIELD (which I'm not really keen on) then maybe not so much! She is definetly more a spy though... I think I like her mostly because of the comics, the movie Natasha is definetly its own thing.

  2. I love the photo of Mackinac Bridge...awesome to think of ice over all that water. The Krispy Kreme donuts look so good--but the hat is even better! Sorry you were out of town all week...and not getting to read either :( I hope next week you get some reading done! I'm excited about Veronica Mars and Legacy of the Clockwork Key looks good.

    Have a great week!

  3. That's interesting about the lake! The Mississippi River was frozen over the last time I saw it too, but that was last month. Also a sheet of ice: my driveway.

    1. Oh you read it? Cool! I'll have to come over and scope out your review. I see the sequel was there too so if I like it, I know the next one is in the wings... :)

  6. Donuts would have made my week much better--I certainly burned off enough calories from shoveling snow to enjoy a few!

  7. I'm jealous of your Krispy Kreme. Our shops all closed several years ago. Although we now have a Dunkin' Donuts. Not the same I know!

  8. Oh Krispy Kreme, my favourite is the original/plain one. We don't have on in my city, so I only get it when I travel.
Hope your enjoying your book! I love the cover. Have an awesome week!

  10. I have been watching the Olympics nonstop as well. It is hard to read when people can ski so fast! :)

  11. I want donuts *hides*
Donuts are my best friends (aside from books) and you're making me hungry. CHOCOLATE GLAZED ARE MY FAVORITE.

I am just going to go hide and hope that my craving fades before I started gnawing on my own hand. :P

I hope this week isn't nearly as busy for you and you get some more time! :)

Happy reading and have a great week, Greg! :)

  12. *Boo* for sharing Krispy Kreme photos, now I want one so bad it's not funny!! Their glazed donut is my favourite, I could eat 6 of them hahaha. Took a while to get them in Australia but now we have a few local outlets lol. That Great Lakes pic is amazing, your snow and storms are making the news over here. Have a great week and happy reading :)

  13. I haven't had a Krispy Kreme in ages. People used to bring them in to the office and then we sort of overdosed on them. Now I want one. I'll have to settle for a Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwich. MMmm Yumm.
