Sunday Post #20/ It's Monday. What Are You Reading?

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey

I'm sorta at a crossroads on the reading front at the moment- after my current read I don't have any books set in stone to read next. I have books I kinda want to read, but not anything I'm super excited about.

ACROSS THE BLOGOSPHERE

Cary Elwes is writing a Princess Bride memoir-woo that should be fun. As You Wish: Tales from the Princess Bride. Due next fall. There's a nice pic of Cary and Robin Wright at that link as well.

The New Republic has a nice interview with Neil Gaiman.

Here's a Concept Art Writing challenge: Safari Inside a Bookstore. Check it out and see what it inspires in you.

Here's an underwater hotel room where you can sleep with the fishes- literally! The Manta Resort website here for your viewing pleasure.

New on blu-ray: Night of the Comet. Cause everyone's been waiting for this one! Valley girls vs. zombies- what's not to like? From USAToday.

How was your week?

  1. I refuse to shop on Thanksgiving, I think it is awful that these companies open up their stores forcing low income people to work on the holiday. I avoid Black Friday because it is crazy...we decorate for X-mas instead. Have a wonderful week Greg!

    1. I'm with you, I don't go out on Thanksgiving either. I feel so bad for the people who have to work. And Black Friday... yeah. Way to crazy! There's lots of time after that to shop.

      You too Kimba, thanks.

  2. I don't like to shop in crowds, so, of course, Black Friday is not on my agenda, either. I get anxious just thinking about it...LOL

Enjoy your holidays...and whatever you choose to read. Thanks for visiting my blog.

    1. I know it, I'm not one for getting up at 5 am either. There's nothing I need to get that bad... :)

  3. No shopping for me. I hate crowds. We decorate instead. :) Underwater hotel rooms are cool looking, but I don't think I could stay in one. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

  4. I don't like shopping on Black Friday or Thanksgiving, espeically now that my boyfriend is forced to work nearly every holiday. Not to mention the amount of rude people on Black Friday, I went once when I was 14 and an older woman took something right out of my hand.
I've read Homer's Odyssey by Gwen Cooper and loved it, so I might check out the one your reading.
I hope you have a lovely week Greg

    1. Thanks Michelle, you as well. Yeah the rude behavior kinda takes the fun out of shopping... and I think it sucks for the people that have to work holidays.

Love Saves The Day was an impulse buy, I was looking at it and read a passage that sounded good, so I'm totally new to this one!

  5. I am looking forward to Thanksgiving too. There are two deals on Amazon I might try for, but otherwise I am not doing any shopping this year. Surprisingly, there really isn't anything that I want or need! :)

    1. Thanksgiving is great, all the food and just hanging out! :) I like Christmas shopping to a point, but not usually on Black Friday. That's a good feeling, to not have the pressure to rush out and get something!

  6. Enjoy picking a next read. I always like that feeling I do not HAVE to read something but can choose any book I want to read. Have a great Thanksgiving!

  7. The Princess Bride is my all time favorite movie! (besides Love Actually lol) I am definitely going to have to read it that his book. :)

I am soo not a shopper! I usually try to do all my shopping online, then wipe the rest out in one marathon day, that includes lunch and wine. Lol.

    1. Thanks for stopping by Sheila! Yes that would be a bucket list item, definetly. I'm not sure if it would be relaxing or hard to sleep though with all the fish swimming by! What a problem to have!

  12. I have nightmares about drowning, so I don't think that underwater hotel is for me. (shudders) Thanks for the link to the Gaiman interview. He's awesome!

How are you enjoying Love Saves the Day? I really loved it!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! And enjoy the chance to choose your next book just for the fun of it!

    1. Thanks Lark, I haven't picked anything yet so will be a slow reading week, but I'll pick up again next week. As for the hotel, yeah i think I like the upper sundeck part better, but it's pretty unique. Have a great Thanksgiving and thanks for stopping by!

  13. I know how it is when you don't have the next book for sure decided what you're going to read. Then you end up wasting precious time deciding!! instead of reading!
