I loved the previous edition where it was all Christmas and holiday themed, so I'm sure this will be no exception, especially with some of my all time favourite authors in there! It's a favorite, but I only had an eARC.
2. It's next in a series and I just need it in my life.
3. Favorite/auto-buy author.
4. Gorgeousness on the cover. OR "fun special thing", like how Six of Crows has black edged pages, or how Illuminae has all the fun artsy stuff.
5. It is The Hunger Games. I feel like my goal is to own every copy ever created (and that I am probably close to halfway there 😂)

I really hope that this ends up being good- but if not, at least you have the fun cover! But on the other hand I have most of the Kate Morton books in trade paperback with the exception of 2. I kind of wish they were all in the same print format just so that my shelves look more tidy. For me it depends on the author and what format the book is available in. At times the prices for hardcovers are just outrageous though. If it's a great book with an okay cover I can probably be good with the ebook, although rarely if I love it enough I want to own it- but if both the story and the cover rock it's hard to resist a print version. :) Although this is kind of new to me as I used to buy ONLY physical copies, until I discovered (kinda late) the joys of e- reading.

And yes there are certain favorites that just look good on the shelf. I don't think any book lover blames you for liking that new book smell!

For me to actually buy a physical book, usually it's a combination of loving both the book AND the cover. If I don't love the cover, I can survive with just the ebook. And if I didn't like the story, then just the cover isn't worth it. I haven't bought any physical books in years that I didn't already read, but, if I were going to, then it would be a combination of me dying to have the cover and figuring I'll most likely love the story too. And I'd be more willing to take a chance the cheaper I could get it.

Though I can tell you that if I get enough for it, I'm totally buying copies of all the books in my favorite series, regardless of their covers lol.Kit @ Metaphors and Moonlighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10113986982046115579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3952534890282357396.post-9465263467161810042016-05-31T12:24:22.700-07:002016-05-31T12:24:22.700-07:00I so rarely buy print books anymore.
